Since opening in August 2007, Hugo’s has been a beloved part of the Dublin dining scene. Inhabiting a protected 200+ year old Georgian building on Merrion Row just off the corner of St. Stephen’s Green, it is renowned for its old-school charm, warm atmosphere, and service that is both professional and effortlessly friendly. A firm favourite with locals, tourists, and corporate guests alike, Hugo’s is a place where great food, great wine, and great company come together. This was just recognised at the 2025 Good Food Ireland Awards when Hugo’s was chosen by the public as the Food Lovers Choice Winner.
Our ethos is simple: celebrate the best of Irish produce. We proudly support local and Irish suppliers, from small family farms to artisan cheesemakers and dedicated growers whose passion and craft shine through in every dish. Under the guidance of Head Chef Michael Morrisroe, our kitchen team creates fabulous Irish dishes with an often classical twist—food that is honest, seasonal, and full of flavour.
Wine has always been at the heart of what we do. With over 40 wines available by the glass, our list is designed to inspire exploration, encourage conversation, and offer something special for every palate.
Owner Gina Murphy, is one of Ireland’s foremost restaurateurs and a recognised voice for the hospitality industry. Her commitment to quality, community, and genuine hospitality has shaped Hugo’s from day one and continues to guide everything we do.
